Ibn al-'Arabi telah menyeru para penguasa Islam di dunia Islam pada ketika itu agar mempertahankan ketinggian kalimatullah sewaktu berjihad mendepani gelombang serbuan tentera Kristian dalm Peperangan Salib ketika itu. Antara isi surat Ibn al-Arabi kepada Sultan 'Izz al-Din Kay Ka'us, yang membidas baginda kerana terlalu tunduk kepada masyarakat Kristian dalam suasana berkobarnya Perang Salib:
" The worst thing that Islam and Muslims suffer in your realm is the sound of bells, the manifestation of infidelity (al-kufr), the affirmation of an associate of Allah (i`la' kalimat al-shirk), and the disappearance of the rules instituted by the Prince of Believers, `Umar b. al-Khattab, regarding dhimmis namely: that neither in the city itself nor in the surrounding regions are they to build new churches, monasteries or hermitages, that they are not to repair any of these buildings if they bcome dilapidated, that they are not to prevent any Muslim from being given food and shelter in their churches for a period of up to three days, that they are not to hide spies, that they are not to conspire in secret against Muslims, that they are not to teach Qur'an to their children, that they are not to make public show of their polytheism (shirk), that they are not to prohibit thier relatives from islam if they want to, that they are to respect the Muslims, that they are to stand up for them from their seat if they want to sit down, that they are not to imitate the Muslims' dressing: neither in cap nor turban nor shoes, that they are not to part their hair, that they are not to be named by the Muslims' name, nor to be called by the surname of the Muslims', that they are not to have saddles to their horses, that they are not to put on sword, not to take on any arms, that they are not to engrave their finger ring with Arabic, that they are not to sell wine (to the Muslims), that they are to trim their front hair, and wear their dress wherever it may be, that they are to wear waste-belts, that they are not to take out the Cross nor anything of their scriptures in Muslim habitation, that they are not to ring bells ( at times of Muslim prayers) except mildly, that they are not to raise voice in their recitation (of hymn), in their church whenever the Muslims are present, that they are not to go out with disheveled hair, that they are not to raise their (wailing) voice, nor show off fire, due to their deceased, that they are not to buy the slaves that are transacted between the Muslims.If they contradict anything conditioned over them, then there is no protection for them, and they are due to be punished by the Muslims like what is due to the people of hostility and trouble ( ahl al-mu'anadah wa al-shiqaq)."Rujukan: Futuhat al-Makkiyah, 4: 547-8. Bagaimana? Nama Muslim pun tak boleh pakai inikan pula nama Allah Tuhan Yang Maha Esa. Ini nasihat tegas Syakh al-Akbar Sufi Agung Andalusia, Muhyiddin Ibn al-'Arabi kepada penguasa. Nasihat yang bukan semberono sentimen chauvinis tetapi berlandaskan ilmu kerana Ibn al-'Arabi seorang ulama' polymath dan super prolifik dalam menulis kitab. Kalam, fiqh dan tasawwuf ini sudah sebati dalam fikrah beliau.
Sekarang, saya tidak kisah PKR sebab memang nature parti itu begitu. Gerakan Islam yang gagah dalam politik kenalah tunjuk izzah dalam hal ini.Kenalah bertegas betul-betul dan KONSISTEN. Ini bab aqidah. Sudahlah si Agnes Monica pun satu. Berapa banyak lagi hendak kita biarkan?
Ingat, ini bukan bab perkauman TETAPI mempertahankan al-haqq. Sudah terang bersuluh dari segi penggunaan-nya bakal mengundang padah pada masa akan datang. Malangnya, seperti kata Faisal Tehrani, 'Orang Itu' telah bersikap semberono seperti yang saya terangkan dalam entri sebelum-nya.
